Kimono-Do (website under construction)
People have asked me... "why did someone like you choose to get involved with Kimonos from Japan?"
There are 3 parts to the short answer.
One, I wanted to find a way to help people to create a side business of up-cycling Kimonos in order to have extra income for their family.
Two, there is a tremendous issue on a global level of excessive used clothes that has created an environmental problem and that up-cycling clothing could contribute to a solution.
Three, because i am a teacher of Chi Kung and Meditation, I discovered that working with Kimonos is an excellent way to share one of the oldest teachings, which is:
Recognizing beauty outside of yourself is a reflection of your acceptance of your own Inner beauty.
